![]() Honestly, for that kind of game, if you're lucky to have fibre channel, it's a very convincing experience, no lag to expect, no video artefacts (except when the server suddenly slows down, which can happen for a short period of time).MacOS Mojave delivers new features inspired by its most powerful users but designed for everyone. Then, launch steam inside the GeForce Experience app and there you go □ It can be a very interesting workaround if your computer is too slow to run the game properly. With full options and a 1920x1080 resolution (they don't seem to provide higher resolution video streaming), it runs without hiccups (although it seems to be capped around 30fps, while other softwares can reach 60fps through GeForce Experience).įor people with GeForce Experience, remember to switch your computer resolution to at least 1920x1080 because Nvidia's app doesn't understand macOS' retina logic. Seems that it also belongs to the past □Īs a side note, I've just been granted a slot to try out GeForce Experience on macOS (it's streaming gaming), and Two Point Hospital runs pretty well that way. I also was unable to break the full screen this time, while I've been switching to other spaces, using video PiP and interacting with websites. I've launched the 1.06 beta version of the game a few minutes to try this out (taking a break, I don't want to finish the game too fast □), I'm using a 2017 touch bar 15" MacBook Pro, and I can finally pick all the resolutions up to my physical resolution of 2880x1800, while my logical desktop screen resolution remains 1680x1050, it's just perfect □ For those who want to override this behaviour, you can download an utility app (such as DisplayMenu, free on the Mac App Store) and manually set your screen to its physical resolution (for example 2880x1800 for a 15" retina MBP), then launch the game. Right now, except the few cases when it still happens, I only witness one single bug specific to the macOS version, and that's the one benmann is complaining about : the game is stuck at the logical resolution instead of the physical. It is now harder to see this happen (it hasn't totally disappeared), and there's still the usual workaround of switching to windowed mode and back to full screen (press cmd+F twice) if you experience that issue. I used to experience conflict between macOS's UI (dock and menu bar popping up when the pointer reaches the borders in the fullscreen game) after switching back from another "space" (virtual desktop). In the last beta branch (1.0.5) I noticed that full screen is now much harder to "break". Let me know if the comments below if you're still experiencing issues, ![]() We are now investigating this and hope to be able to do an update soon with Retina support enabled. This is because we unfortunately have had to disable Mac Retina Support, due to it often causing a boot to black screen. ![]() Some of you have noticed that you are unable to select the highest resolutions. We are hoping that this will solve some of the issues - let us know! There may still be a delay for the game to start - 30 seconds or so on a black screen. If you are having trouble launching the game (crashes or black screens) then select 'Two Point Hospital (OpenGL 10.11, 10.12)' If you are on Mac, you will notice when launching the game you will have a pop up where you can select 'Two Point Hospital' or 'Two Point Hospital (OpenGL 10.11, 10.12) We're working on optimising even more, and have now added an experimental launch open which may help users on El Capitan (10.11) and Sierra (10.12) Please make sure you check out the minimum specs on our store page. We recommend that if you're having problems on mac, you first of all try updating to the latest version of High Sierra. We're aware of some issues affecting a portion of mac users.
